After the 2-0 win against France, the DFB team will face the Netherlands in Frankfurt in the evening. “Everyone is fit. The same first team is planned,” said Nagelsmann before the final training session. The national team will wear the much-discussed pink away jerseys for the first time.

In front of Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Antonio Rüdiger and Jonathan Tah once again form the central defense, while Joshua Kimmich from FC Bayern Munich is on the right side of defense. On the left side, Nagelsmann once again relies on Maximilian Mittelstädt, who found his way into the game better and better against France after initial defensive problems.

“The win against France was important. We’re not going into a wave of euphoria now, but it was a good first step. We have an idea in our heads that we’re trying to implement,” Nagelsmann said on RTL. The idea is shown by the fact that he did not make any changes. On the double six he relies again on veteran Toni Kroos and clearer Robert Andrich. “If Toni Kroos can maintain this level, we will be very happy. “He is outstanding not only as a player, but also as a guy and person,” said Nagelsmann.

After the game against the Netherlands, the national team will test against Ukraine and Greece before the European Championships in June. The players only have three opportunities to be in the starting eleven for the European Championship opening game against Scotland on June 14th in Munich.

“We have clear roles for the players, even for those who don’t play that much. We’re trying to let the first eleven get used to it. “But that doesn’t mean that there can’t be any changes until the end of May,” said Nagelsmann. Injuries or crises in the form of individual players could throw a spanner in the works for the national coach. Or another professional who has not yet been part of the starting eleven comes into play – such as Leroy Sané, who, like against France, is also suspended against the Netherlands.
