Bolzano – Jannik Sinner from Sexten has sparked “tennis fever” in many people with his successes on tennis courts around the world. This emerges from a spontaneous survey by Südtirol News with around 5,000 participants.
55 percent say they now pick up a tennis racket themselves or at least follow the games. The successes of the young South Tyrolean tennis ace had no influence on 45 percent.

@wollwoll also said in a statement: “Jannik Sinner has made tennis interesting again not only with his skills, but also with his likeable nature. I like to follow his games and swing the bat myself.”
@savada also comes out as a fan: “A very likeable, down-to-earth athlete with a big heart and impeccable behavior and fairness. A role model for many.”
And @neidhassmissgunst thinks: “The tennis fever hasn’t caught me. But if many children and young people do more sport now, it’s certainly a good thing.”
