One winner – but both are still through!
The Telekom Baskets Bonn won the German group game in the Basketball Champions League with 85:81 at the MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg, marching into the quarter-finals as first – and thus having two home advantage in the best-of-three series.
Both teams were already through. Defending champion Bonn reached the playoffs of the Champions League for the second time, Ludwigsburg reached the playoffs for the fourth time after 2017 (out against Banvit/Turkey) and the Final Four participations in 2018 and 2022.
The quarterfinals will be drawn on Thursday.

Figge next to him also reveals something surprising when he talks about Till Pape from Bonn: “One of my best friends! I’m really pleased that he’s showing his entire repertoire right at the beginning. New to the game, get the ball in the post and score straight away. That’s the kind of impact you want to have.”
Bonn went into the half-time break with a lead of 52:49. Schmidt revealed at halftime: “My eyes are widening when I look at my cell phone. There are rumors that the Final Four will take place in Frankfurt.”
In the end, the Bonn team narrowly but deservedly prevailed. Also because Ludwigsburg showed nerves in the final phase, missed numerous free throws and lost the ball unnecessarily.
