Sunday March 10, the gentlemen’s TCB hosted Lézignan-Corbières as part of the Occitanie-Mediterranean regional Courtès cup. At the end of the four singles, the score was 3 to 1 for the Corbières team. The win in the doubles, worth two points, could either consolidate Lézignan’s big victory, or result in a draw for the two teams. At the end of an epic match, with a very poorly started 1st set (0/6 for the TCB), a tighter 2nd set (7/6 for the TCB) and a 3rd set in 10 games (super decisive game ), not wanting to choose sides, the TCB, at the end of the suspense, wins the match 11/9! The meeting then continued at the clubhouse around grilled sausages, brought by the Lézignan team who were warmly thanked, and Corbières wine. A great moment of conviviality with a state of mind and sporting values that the TCB likes to maintain, to the great pleasure of local competitors and visitors.
