“Talsu NSS/Krauzers” wins in Cēsis and is one step away from the final

In the ELVI floorball league men’s semi-final series between the teams “Talsu NSS/Krauzers” and “Lekrings” (Cēsis), the result has become 3:1. Tonight in the Cēsi sports complex, the Talsinians were superior with 10:2, but the best player award in the winning team went to the goalkeeper Sandijs Gabriels Siliņš, who not only saved 14 of the 16 opponents’ shots, but also stood out with an assist.

In the first two games of this semi-final series, which took place in Tulsa, the hosts were victorious. At first, the team from Talsi was superior only in post-game shots (4:3), but the next day they were decisively superior already in regular time – 9:2. Yesterday, the duel was moved to the Cēsis sports complex, where the home team confidently used the advantages of their field, celebrating the victory with 8:3.

The result of today’s match was in the 12th minute, when Valters Kalnietis, the captain of the Talsu team, Tomas Akmeņlaukas, corrected the shot in front of the goal – 1:0. The first period ended with that result. In the 35th minute, the visitors had taken a 4-0 lead. Two goals were scored by Mariss Bergmanis, and one by Dilan Kronenthal. Then followed the response of the Česi team – within a minute, Olafs Zvīnis and Bruno Beķeris stood out with goals, renewing the intrigue – 2:4. A minute later, Jānis Ragovskis from Talsi scored a goal – 5:2, that was the result before the last period. In the third quarter, Talsi floorball players scored five unanswered goals. “Talsu NSS/Krauzers” celebrated their victory with 10:2, but in the series they came one success away from entering the finals – 3:1.
