Tadej Pogacar: “I want to be the best in history”

Thursday afternoon, Tadej Pogacar (25) drove from his home in Monaco to the outskirts of Milan, where the start of the Primavera will be given this Saturday morning. Accompanied by his friend Urska Zigart, also a professional runner, and Michael Matthews, the Australian sprinter-puncher, the Slovenian was relaxed, ready to do battle with Mathieu Van der Poel, two weeks after his 80 km solo exploit on the Strade Bianche. Confident in his current form which should allow him to dynamite the Poggio, but also determined to continue to achieve prestigious victories which should bring him closer to the greatest riders in history. Voracious, but with a smile.
