The footage shows the man backing away from the animal, shocked by the sudden confrontation, but the pig knocks him to the ground anyway. The attacked person then defends himself by sitting and tries to push the boar away with his hands. He screams for help and tries to get up, but to no avail.
When, after a while, he managed to do it, he reached for a wooden stick and struck the boar. But the animal attacked again and again pinned the pensioner to the pavement. The pig then left the property.
Neighbors saw the incident and took the victim to the hospital. The man suffered a spinal injury, while another family member, not seen in the footage, escaped with several broken ribs. Doctors described their condition as stable.
Experts have warned that wild pigs have very sharp teeth that can bite through important arteries in a person’s legs. When meeting a wild boar, people should keep calm, retreat slowly and not provoke the animal in any way.
