The Juniors
The qualification for the Italian Judo Juniores A2 Fijlkam championship, which took place on 2 March at the sports hall in Massa Martana, saw the three athletes of Judo Kodokan Gubbio gaining access to the final in Leinì, in the province of Turin.
Three medals were won: gold for Riccardo Rossi in the -66kg and two silvers respectively for Emanuele Monacelli in the -73kg and Lorenzo Martiri in the -66kg. The three judokas from Gubbio, who are making their debut in the Junior category, have also begun their points-scoring journey towards achieving the competitive black belt and the event in Massa Martana has started the journey towards achieving the first Dan.
Other young people on display were the 18 pre-competitors of the Gubbio association at the Gran Prix Giovanissimi Umbria, which took place on 3 March again in Massa Martana. Thanks to their participation, the partnership led by federal technicians Dario Dionisi and Roberta Moscetti Castellani ranked third in the club rankings. The event also saw the participation of children and young people from Marche and Lazio in an important moment of discussion and growth.
