A striker signs for PSG, help arrives

During the summer of 2023, PSG signed several attackers, such as Randal Kolo Muani, Bradley Barcola and Gonçalo Ramos. Concerning the Portuguese striker, the adaptation was not easy and he suffered a lot of criticism. At PSG, he can count on the support of his teammate and selection partner, Danilo Pereira, who is proud of him.
PSG spent a lot of money in the transfer window this summer to solidify their attack line. With the departures of Neymar et Lionel Messi, the capital club had to strengthen itself offensively at all costs and set its sights on Gonçalo Ramos, Randal Kolo Muani et Bradley Barcola. An expense of almost €230M which has not yet been fully justified.
Gonçalo Ramos’ difficult first season
In 21 matches Ligue 1, Gonçalo Ramos scored only six times, with just one assist. Figures far too low for the one which cost around €80M at PSG this summer. Luis Enrique does not really seem to be counting on him and rumors suggested that the PSG coach, did not appreciate the profile of his attacker. With the planned departure of Kylian Mbappé, Luis Enrique he’s going to have to make up his mind.
“He does a good job and does what the coach asks him to do”
Present at a press conference this Sunday, the midfielder PSG, Danilo Pereira, defended the season of his teammate in the selection, Gonçalo Ramos : “He is a player who needs his teammates more, he is an attacker, he needs goals, but he does a good job and does what the coach asks of him. It’s his first year at PSG, it’s positive. PSG is a difficult club to adapt to, but I’m proud of the three of them (with Nuno Mendes and Vitinha), of what they do, and it’s not easy to be here [en équipe nationale], so being here is always positive. »
