The Algerian Football Federation has just announced that striker Rafik Guitane has officially opted for Algerian sporting nationality.
The 24-year-old player who is playing in Estoril in Portugal this season, to participate in the next matches of the Algerian team, after agreement from FIFA which accepted his file for change of selection. This means he will be called up for the next two matches in March.
As a reminder, the player from Le Havre in France, played with all the youth teams in France until U20. He was also eligible for the Morocco team but his choice had clearly been made for some time.
Guitane has made 7 goals and four assists in 32 matches in all competitions this season.
