The workers of the National Monte de Piedad (NMP) endorsed the agreement of an 18 percent increase in salary and maintaining all economic benefits, which puts an end to the labor conflict in the Private Assistance institution, which broke out on February 14, in a day of voting that took place today, without incident.
Staff from the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration (CFCRL) supervised these elections in which 1,816 workers voted “yes” to the agreement between the Board of Trustees of the NMP and the leadership of the Union of Employees and Workers of the National Monte de Piedad, this It is 84.2 percent of the total employees and workers.
There were 301 workers who voted no, equivalent to 13.9 percent of a universe of 2,155 workers with the right to vote.
The agreement between the parties was reached with the mediation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS), which addresses the demands of both parties.
In a statement it is reported that the STPS and the Federal Labor Center recognize the responsibility of the workers and directors of the National Monte de Piedad to reach the labor agreement, which today, March 14, was ratified with a personal, free, direct vote. and secrecy of unionized personnel.
It should be remembered that it was last March 3 when the agreement was reached with the administration of the National Monte de Piedad and the general secretary of the Union, lawyer Arturo Zayún González.
According to the rules established by the Labor Reform, the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration has to review all the documentation required to carry out the voting day so that the workers approve or not the agreements between the parties.

Furthermore, by law, ten days must pass for the workers to know the agreement signed by the NMP Board of Trustees and the union body.
That deadline was met on March 14, 2024.

Tonight, the general secretary of the Union of Employees and Workers of the National Monte de Piedad, lawyer Arturo Zayún told El Sol de México that “the salary increase was 18 percent. And important economic benefits were maintained.”
