Stephen Curry is ready for more minutes
Curry went to the bench with four minutes left in the third quarter and didn’t return to the field until seven minutes left. During this phase, the Wolves turned a four-point deficit into an eight-point lead. “We can’t always let him play 35 minutes. We’re on an away trip here with five games in seven days. You can say that if he had played 32 minutes we would have won, but I don’t see it that way. We want that Winning games but also keeping him fresh.”
Curry himself stated that he would be willing to play more minutes if it was required of him, although he also defended Kerr’s decision. “I played the entire fourth quarter against Indiana and it didn’t work. Neither did today’s version, so we’ll have to find a compromise,” the 36-year-old said diplomatically.
“Obviously I want to play as much as possible when I’m fit,” added Curry, who also admitted he was a little surprised at how long he was on the bench in Minnesota.
