The latter points out that De Vrij should not drop out for the first time: “In recent seasons, he has been injured more often at important moments,” it reads. Haak does not expect the injury to be serious: “Although I assume that his place in the European Championship selection will not be in jeopardy.”
The KNVB informed FCUpdate in a response that it cannot (yet) make any announcements about a possible injury to De Vrij.
