Spurs Rookie Victor Wembanyama Fined $25,000 for Throwing Ball into Crowd

The NBA has announced a $25,000 penalty for Spurs rookie Victor Wembanyama after throwing a ball into the crowd in last Friday’s victory over the New York Knicks.

The Texans won the extra period 130-126 with 40 points and 20 rebounds from the French center, the first rookie with at least 40-20 since Shaquille O’Neal in February 1993.

In addition, he added 7 assists, a block and 2 steals to add the 18th win of the regular season for Gregg Popovich’s team, which is just three games away from the worst record in its history (20-67 in 1997).
