Sports Commission Inspects Archery Facility in Rome: Plans for Regularization and Partnership

“Yesterday morning, 22 March 2024, the Sports Commission’s inspection took place at the Tor Tre Teste archery facility, located in the municipal park close to the Alessandrino aqueduct in Municipality V and managed by ASD Arco Sport Rome of the great manager Sante Spigarelli, several times Olympian and multiple medalist”.

Thus, in a note, the councilor and president of the Sports Commission of Roma Capitale, Nando Bonessio.

“It is – continues the note – a facility that represents a point of reference for the promotion and initiation of sports practice for many people, including those with disabilities, in the eastern quadrant of the city and which ensures full respect for the right to sport for everyone, giving substance to that educational, social and promotion of psychophysical well-being value recognized by the Constitution to sporting activity in all its forms. At the same time, as per the will expressed by the managers themselves, it is necessary to proceed as soon as possible with the regularization of the structure both with the Capitoline Administration and with the Superintendency.

To guarantee the continuity of the sports offer, we have agreed with the president of the Sports Commission of Municipality V Maurizio Mattana to verify the possibility of reclassifying the facility as of ‘municipal importance’, also in light of the extension of the concession deadline to 31 December of sports facilities to ASD and SSD affected by the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency. In this way, the Municipality will take care of the regularization of the existing structures and subsequently proceed to implement a public-private partnership project to be the basis of the public tender procedure through which to guarantee the continuation of the activities by the historic ASD Arco Sport ”.
