Solid Performance by JC Gernsdorf Youth Team at Freudenberg District Tournament

1st place for Kai Scholz in Freudenberg, further 2 x 2nd place

The JC Gernsdorf youth team, coached by Torsten “Tutti” Lober, delivered a solid performance at the district tournament in Freudenberg.

Kai Scholz took a great first place in the weight class up to 37 kg. With three wins he made it to the final where he ultimately wrested a small score from his very passive opponent and thus secured first place.
In the class up to 26 KG, Elias Schaar won his first 3 encounters after just a few seconds each with Ippon. He also dominated his opponent in the decisive final duel, but still unfortunately fell behind in a medium ranking. He turned it around again and got 3 small ratings and had to be content with a great 2nd place.
Second place also went to Moritz Teschner up to 31 kg. He also won three clear victories and had to narrowly admit defeat with a small score in the decisive fight.
Good in the tournament were Titus Falk (up to 34 kg) with 3rd place, Ben Turian (28 kg) with 2nd place, Louis Teschner and Tom Luca Fries (both up to 37 kg) who shared 3rd place in this class. Unfortunately, Janis Karl (up to 34 KG) was not yet on the podium in one of his first tournaments.
Tom Sitek and Joschi Dittmer started in the U15. Tom still had to pay some training and Joschua fought bravely against older and physically superior opponents and took third place.

Lukas Heitze and Jonas Baumbach competed in the U18 team.
Jonas fought well, but ultimately had to admit defeat.
Lukas Heitze was unlucky. He won the first fight confidently. In the second encounter against an impetuous opponent, he injured his knee which forced him to retire. He had to go to the hospital for an examination. At this point all the best for Lukas.
