Anna Gasser is still feeling the after-effects of her serious fall at the X-Games in Aspen at the end of January, but the two-time Olympic champion is attacking again at the season finale for snowboarders and freestylers in Silvaplana. The selective slopestyle course on the Corvatsch is a “highlight” that the Carinthian woman doesn’t want to miss.

At the season finale in Switzerland, only slopestyle competitions are on the program for freestylers on boards and two skis. In any case, Gasser’s anticipation is great. “This year the course is extremely long with five jump features and a half-pipe wall at the end,” said the Carinthian, who took second place in the qualification behind the Japanese Kokomo Murase.
She still feels the after-effects of her fall in Aspen, but her confidence is still high. “I’m not quite at 100 percent yet, but I’m certainly fit enough to have a good contest here. Since I haven’t jumped that much in the last few weeks, it’s time to explore what tricks are possible on the kickers,” said Gasser. Her partner Clemens Millauer is also among the men from the ÖSV perspective.

Freeskier Müllauer is excited
Lukas Müllauer is the hottest Austrian stock in freeskiing. “For me, the course at Corvatsch is by far the best in the World Cup. This year it’s a little more demanding than usual, but I’m really enjoying it.” He has already planned 70 percent of his run.
