Sinner outclasses Medvedev in the Miami semifinals

The Italian Jannik Sinner continued his winning streak against and outclassed the Russian Daniil Medvedev 6:1 6:2 in the semifinals of the ATP 1000 tournament in Miami on Friday. With another win, the 22nd in the 23rd match of the year, Sinner would move one place past Carlos Alcaraz to second place in the world rankings.

Sinner strung together his fifth win against Medvedev, fourth in the world rankings, in Florida. The 22-year-old beat him in the final three times in the last six months, including at the Australian Open in January. Sinner had lost the first six duels on the ATP tour against Medvedev, but the tide has turned impressively since last October.
