Tuesday March 5, the badminton section of the Ploemeur Secular Association organized with Committee 56 and the Brittany League a second day with the seniors of Morbihan, at the Châtaigneraie room. “The over-60s of the department enjoy meeting twice a season in Ploemeur or Kervignac,” explains Gérard Vioulès, president of the section. Warm-ups, exercises with snowshoes and to end the morning a few singles and doubles matches. “It all ended with a friendly drink followed by a small snack. Good atmosphere guaranteed.”
The session was orchestrated by Quentin, the new employee of the section. The seniors of Ploemeur also enjoy meeting up every Monday afternoon, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Created only very recently, this slot currently has ten seniors over 60 years old.
To end the season, several events are on the section’s program: minibad plateau and youth promobad tournament, double night tournament and traditional summer feather tournament (450 players) on July 6 and 7.
