Screenwriter Satoshi Miyakawa and Mangaka Kawa Team Up for Manga Dedicated to Baseball Player Hiromitsu Ochiai

Screenwriter Satoshi Miyakawa and the mangaka Kawa team up to dedicate a manga to the famous Japanese baseball player Hiromitsu Ochiaiin which the latter sees himself reincarnated in another world!

The manga se nomme Ochiai Hiromitsu no Oreryû Tensei and debuted today in the 17th issue of the year of Morning magazine from éditions Kôdansha. The story focuses on the figure of Hiromitsu Ochiai, a former player and manager in the world of Japanese baseball, who distinguished himself in these two positions by winning several trophies.

In comments ahead of the pre-publication, Hiromitsu Ochiai said: “In fantasy, I like “Lord of the Rings”, “Game of Thrones” and “Harry Potter”. I then wondered what would happen if I reincarnated in one of these universes. This is my honest impression. When the project was announced, I said I didn’t want to die and be reincarnated, a common mechanic in recent works. So I couldn’t wait to see how my reincarnation in another world would go. I couldn’t help but smile because these reincarnation stories provide a framework like this.

Here, Satoshi Miyakawa is known for having written the short manga Daron Quest, title drawn by Yoshimi Nanjo. The one-shot is available in our bookstores at the editions Omaké Manga. He also wrote the manga Space Battleship Tiramisu, unpublished by us but of which we were able to discover its animated adaptation on The people.
