Jelena Rybakina is the first finalist at the Masters 1000 tournament in Miami. The Kazakh won the semi-finals on Thursday with 6:4 0:6 7:6 (7/2) against Belarusian Viktoria Asarenka. This means that Rybakina is back in the final like last year, when she was defeated by the Czech Petra Kvitova 6:7 3:6.

This year Rybakina will face either the American Danielle Collins or the Russian Yekaterina Alexandrova in the final. Collins, who is retiring at the end of this season, beat France’s Caroline Garcia 6:3 6:2 in the quarterfinals. Alexandrowa prevented a US semi-final duel with a 3:6 6:4 6:4 win against Jessica Pegula.
