RSC Anderlecht’s Transfer Plans Revealed: Targeting Attacker and Negotiating with Sevilla

RSC Anderlecht is preparing for the opener of the Champions’ Play-Offs next Saturday against Antwerp FC. In the meantime, sporting boss Jesper Fredberg is also busy with the upcoming summer mercato. He gave an insight into the plans to the Fan Council.

The record champion hopes to make a bid for the national title in the coming weeks, but the most important objective for now remains to secure a favorable European ticket. The Purple & White wants to make its return to the European stage next season. It does require a wide selection in width.

Fredberg will undoubtedly have to look for reinforcements again for the summer months. This was of course also discussed on Tuesday evening during the ‘Fan Council’, where representatives of the supporters (clubs) meet with the board every so often.

Dreyer Lining

An extensive report of that meeting will normally appear on the club website soon. However, supporter medium ‘Anderlecht-online’ has already published some elements of the interview. Fredberg has already released a first transfer target for next summer.

Naturally, potential departures will be anticipated, but RSCA also wants to attract at least one extra attacker. More specifically, a duplicate/possible replacement for Anders Dreyer. The Dane is a left-footed wing attacker on the right with the necessary scoring ability, so such a profile is aimed for.

Keeping mercenaries

In addition, Fredberg will also meet with Sevilla FC again. Anderlecht is currently renting three players from the Spanish sub-topper: Ludwig Augustinsson, Thomas Delaney and Federico Gattoni. Certainly the first two appear to be eligible for an extended stay. But discussions about this are still early, so Fredberg cannot currently make any statements about a possible agreement.
