You cannot call Ronny Deila’s dismissal a surprise. Club Brugge also sought an internal solution to resolve the situation for the rest of the season. This clearly shows that blueblack considers this vintage as lost.
The dismissal is also no surprise for Johan Boskamp. In fact, many supporters had expected it much earlier, but the defeat against STVV was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.
“He had been standing outside with one and a half legs for a few weeks,” says Johan Boskamp about the situation in which Deila found herself in the Jan Breydel Stadium.
Cowardly way of working
Although the Dutchman does have a problem with the way it all worked at Club Brugge. “I just think it’s cowardly that Bart Verhaeghe was on Lanzarote and let others do his dirty work.”
The cause of the malaise this season is clear for Boskamp. “The biggest problem for Club Brugge remains the departure of Vince (Mannaert, ed.). After all, by their standards, they have been in a lousy street for two years. I wonder who will get them out of there.”
