The Rolampont Athletic Club karate section (CAR karate Shotokan) organized its general meeting on Tuesday, March 12, at the clubhouse. At the end of the adoption of the minutes read by Jean-Paul Sandalo, treasurer of the club, the president, Alice Quarrey wanted to thank the members, practitioners and supervisors for their motivation and their dedication within the club and this , despite the interruption of training at the start of the season. Following the departure of the previous coach, classes only resumed in February after six long months of break. Very enthusiastic and motivated thanks to the arrival of the new instructor, Abdelrani Ghorzi, the club wants to regain momentum. What’s more, training will now take place in the new dojo, a location ideally suited to the practice of karate. Subsequently, Guy Collier, treasurer of the club, published the figures from the latest financial report which highlighted the healthy finances of the association: “The success of the last garage sale allowed the club to generate substantial revenue” . Concerning the sporting aspect, the club now has ten members, a figure slightly down compared to the previous season. For this new year, the Shotokan karate CAR will reiterate its participation in various events (garage sales, July 14 events and Forum of associations) and the sale of calendars will be studied. Very determined and invested in his new mission, Abdelrani Ghorzi wishes to put back in place the grade transitions interrupted since 2019. The instructor also underlined the importance of communication, particularly via social networks and proposed the organization of training sessions. discovery of Full-contact. The arrival of the new coach will also allow the reception of children under 9 years old. On this subject, Guy Collier declared that he was currently working with the Rolampont school group on the organization of a discovery day in order to encourage vocations among schoolchildren. Concerning contributions, their amount will be increased by €2 for each category in order to compensate for the increase in club contributions to different organizations. This increase will also make it possible to invest in equipment. At the end of the meeting, the participants had the exclusivity and the pleasure of discovering the new dojo before the first training.
