4.13 Rokkuk Dali “It’s meaningless unless we fight against strong players. We can definitely beat Kaito.”

Rokuku will face SB Japan Super Welterweight 2nd place Daiki Kazama (Hashimoto Dojo) in an open finger glove match at “SHOOT BOXING 2024 act.2” to be held at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Dali. Dali learned judo in his home country of Congo and is good enough to be selected for the national team. After switching to MMA, he has shown success, winning titles in his main field of competition, GRACHAN. Will Dali create a sensation in his first SB race?

–How long has it been since Dali came to Japan?

Dali: It’s been 14 years since I came here in 2010. I first came to Japan to compete in the Judo World Cup, and the following year I started practicing MMA in Japan.

–At what age did you start judo?

Dali: My father, brother, and other members of my family all practice judo, and I started practicing judo at the age of four. By the way, I am the 8th of 13 siblings. In judo, he was selected for the Congolese national judo team, winning a gold medal at the Africa Cup and a gold medal with the team at the U-18 Olympics.

–Is judo popular in your home country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo?

Dali The most popular sport is soccer, followed by judo.

–This time, it has been decided that you will participate in SB.

Dali: My friend (“Black Panther”) Beinois also participated in SB matches, and I had wanted to appear in the SB ring for a long time. I’m really happy that I’ve decided to step into the SB ring this time.

–Where do you practice batting?

Dali: I also practice at TRI.H Studio and AACC, which I belong to.

–Are you confident in a match that is all about hitting?

Dali: Up until now, I have also played batting matches. I work with Kaito and Minoru Kimura “Philip” at Rahway and RIZIN, so it’s not a problem. I’ve been doing well in practice this time as well, so I’m confident that we won’t lose, so I think we’ll have an interesting match.

–According to the SB rules, you can also do throwing techniques, but will you show your judo techniques?

Dali: Everyone seems to have a strong image of judo to me, but I do a kickboxing style.

–What impression do you have of Kazama, the player you will be competing against?

I saw the video of Dali’s match, and I didn’t think he was a weak player, but he was practicing so hard that he wanted to win, and all he thought about was beating him up.

–Do you have any goals for this year?

Dali: When I played with Kaito at RIZIN, I lost in a last-minute decision. If I can play with Kaito someday, I would like to get revenge. If you do it next time, you’ll definitely win. I have 100% confidence. Kaito is a very strong fighter, and since I’m a fighter, I think there’s no point in fighting unless I fight a strong fighter, so he’s an opponent I have to defeat. Also, I wasn’t able to play many games last year, so I want to show everyone a more interesting game this year, so I’ll practice hard.

――There are always a lot of lively friends coming to Dali’s games, but will there be a lot of support this time as well?

Dali: There is a lot of support this time as well. A lot of my Congolese friends and my fans will be coming, so I want to stay competitive and put on an interesting match for everyone.

–I’m looking forward to the match.

Dali Here we go! OK! thank you!
