17th and penultimate in Betclic Élite, the Chorale de Roanne decided to part ways this Tuesday with its coach Jean-Denys Choulet. The double French champion (with Roanne in 2007 and Chalon in 2017) did not convince his leaders that he was still the man for the job to ensure maintenance.
“In the coming days, the club and its representatives will work on drafting an agreement which will ratify this decision, taken a few days before a crucial match which will pit La Chorale against Portel,” the club said in a press release.
“A temporary organization is being put in place from this Tuesday, players and staff will be able to get back to work after the announcements and the reminder of the managers’ objectives for this end of the season. The decision was made painfully. The time to take stock of the last four years of Jean-Denys Choulet in Roanne will come but for now, the leaders are sounding the general mobilization in the maintenance operation,” added the leaders of Roanne, focused on the end of the season.
