On the 27th of last month, the Korea Badminton Association for the Disabled held a ‘Skill Evaluation for Selection of 2024 Badminton New Players (Body Part)’ at the Hongseong-gun Sports Center for the Disabled and selected six new players, including Seung-hoo Lee, in the badminton physical field.

For this evaluation, only registered players and those scheduled to register under 30 years of age for men and 33 years of age for women are recommended by the sports organizations for each event, and ranked based on technical evaluation (basic physical fitness, practical skills test) scores, and then ranked by the Korea Badminton Association for the Disabled Professional Sports. Selected athletes will receive training at the Icheon Athletes’ Village of the Korea Sports Association for the Disabled, and will receive support for training allowances, training supplies, clothing, and other training needs.

To pursue his dream, Lee Seung-hoo transferred from Subuk Middle School in Damyang, Jeollanam-do to Wolbong Middle School in Gwangju, and is concentrating on training at the Gwangju Public Sports Club for the Disabled.
