Rising German Judoka Charlotte Nettesheim Secures Bronze at European Cup

After her bronze medal at the German U18 Championships and fifth place in the U21, Charlotte Nettesheim is now fighting for the next success for herself and now even at European level. She secured the bronze medal at the European Cup in Porec.

Except for the semifinals, she wins all fights with Ippon, two of them within the first minute of the fight. In her first fight against the Italian Guion, she only needed 22 seconds to use a choking technique. She wins against the Croatian Letonia after 1:17 minutes with a hold. Only in the pool final against the Brazilian Silva did she need a little more than half the fight time to win with the second waza-ari. However, she then lost the semi-final against the Italian Zedda after just over a minute with Ippon, but won the small final for bronze against the Italian Moruzzi confidently after 48 seconds with the second Waza-ari for a hold.
