Dismissed from FC Nantes six months after the French championship title won in May 2001, Raynald Denoueix (75 years old) bounced back with Real Sociedad the following season. There, the French coach had discovered another world, another culture, but above all obtained results: at the top of La Liga until the morning of the penultimate day, his team had been beaten in the end by two points by Real Madrid of the Galacticos (Zinédine Zidane, Luis Figo, Ronaldo).
