BBL: Favorite terror strikes again
Rasta Vechta is becoming more and more of a favorite fright. After the cup winners Bayern Munich, the fifth-placed team in the BBL also defeated the reigning champions from Ulm.

Basketball Bundesliga team Rasta Vechta becomes the terror of the establishment. The newcomer followed the coup against cup winners Bayern Munich with an 86:81 (43:48) victory against champions ratiopharm Ulm and thus consolidated their position in the top third of the table in the race for the six direct play-off places. Ulm, on the other hand, slipped to seventh place behind the MHP giants Ludwigsburg.

Mentality victory: Strong Vechta defeats Ulm
Already at the beginning of the second quarter, Vechta was able to hope for its second win against a reigning title holder in a row with a six-point lead. But before the break, the guests initiated a temporary turnaround and stayed on course for their eighth away win until the final phase. However, Vechta showed morale and ultimately turned the game in his favor.
The best thrower for the hosts, who celebrated their ninth success in their own hall, was Joschka Ferner with 17 points. The Ulm team, where debutant Justinian Jessup came away empty-handed, had their most successful players in LJ Figueroa and Trevion Williams with 16 points each.
