The Quintana Roo Selection badminton has been defined after completing its internal control, selecting nine players who will represent the state in the next National Qualifier towards the Nationals CONADE 2024. This team was formed after the municipal selections that functioned as part of the internal selection process.
For the first time in the history of this sport in the state, a player from Chetumal joins the team, joining the eight players from the municipality of Benito Juarez. In addition, it is highlighted that this year a category is added Infant (Under-13) to the competition, expanding the divisions that previously only included the categories Juveniles (Sub-15, Sub-17 y Sub-19).
The qualifying process will take place in two different stages and locations. The first phase, which will take place from March 13 to 18 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leónwill have the participation of the Quintana Roo representatives in the divisions Seniors, Sub-17 and Sub-19who are the brothers Patricio and Isabel Meling and Eric de la Garza.
The second stage will take place from April 3 to 8 in Oaxtepec, Morelos, where the qualification for the Under-13 and Under-15 divisions will be played, with the presence of six players from Cancun and one from Chetumal. The state team is under the supervision of coaches Alejandro Orozco and Daniela Cruz.
