Promoting Archery and Training for National Bobo Culture Week 2024: The Association for the Promotion of Archery Hosts Archer’s Day in Gaoua

The Association for the Promotion of Archery held Archer’s Day in Gaoua on March 24, 2024. Organized with the aim of promoting archery, this day also served as a training environment for local archers qualified for the National Bobo Culture Week 2024.

Promoting archery, one of the identities of the South-West region, while providing a training framework for those qualified in this discipline during the National Bobo Culture Week 2024, are the main objectives of the organization of this 3rd archers’ day. “Our archers, after the regional culture week, they train and manage themselves to end up at the national culture week. The association wanted to support the exercise and supervision of these archers in its own way so that they can bring us the best prices from the SNC. The level of the competition satisfies me, especially at the level of the young group who achieved feats of 42 points, that is satisfactory,” confides the president of the Association for the Promotion of Archery, Philip Hien.

For the governor of the South-West region, Boureima Savadogo, talking about archery is referring to the Poni province, to the South-West region. “Beyond the sporting aspect, it is our cultural identity that is highlighted. And that is why I salute the organizing association which thought of upgrading its archers for the deadlines which are already close”.

As a reminder, this archer’s day brought together eleven competitors in the youth, adult men and women categories.
