A planning meeting for the School Sports Games was held at the Regional Directorate of the National Sports Institute, in Puerto Montt.
This instance was attended by the Seremi del Deporte, Carolina Urrutia Soto; the Regional Director (S) of the IND, Ernesto Villarroel Jaramillo; the extracurricular coordinators of the Province of Llanquihue and the professionals from the Competitive Sports area of the IND.
This contest is convened by the Ministries of Sports and Education and organized by the National Sports Institute, where students between 10 and 18 years old can participate in 13 sports disciplines, such as chess, athletics, adapted athletics, handball, basketball, cycling, football, futsal, judo, swimming, taekwondo, table tennis and volleyball.
In this regard, the Seremi del Deporte, Carolina Urrutia Soto, mentioned that “This program is very important for regional sports development, since it generates great interest in participation by the school community, in the different sports competitions of the communal stages, provincial or zonal, regional and national, aimed at the entire school system of our country.”
While the Regional Director (S) of the IND, Ernesto Villarroel Jaramillo, stated that “In this meeting the information corresponding to the calendar of regional and provincial competitions was delivered, it is an instance to know the reality of each commune and carry out a evaluation of the year 2023”.
The next meetings will take place in person on Monday, March 25 in Chiloé and Tuesday, March 26 in Osorno.
