Pisa-Modena: that absence which is a bitter pill

Postponement midweek which is played on Wednesday evening, not exactly an ideal day for a championship match but it’s still fine for the visiting fans as the away trip is among the easiest geographically speaking.

The home fans, however, are still on a war footing regarding the stadium issue: the ultras do not enter the corner and even in the stands there are unusual gaps due to the protest that has brought together and continues to bring together the various entities of the Nerazzurri supporters. The widening of the curve is the order of the day, the hope is to see theArena populated at the beginning of April, the timing is obviously not official but it is necessary to remedy a situation in which the fans were the injured party.

Guests who enter the sector a little late with respect to the start of hostilities, enough time to hang the various acronyms of the yellow-blue fans on the window, organize themselves behind them and we are already about half an hour into the game. The people from Modena are a nice group, large and compact and despite the delay, they work towards a simple but still impactful choreography with a banner on display and behind many yellow-blue flags. How to create color with little, how to perform a choreography with recyclable material, at reduced cost. Excellent overview and support for the team that can start downhill.

While the guests start the first ritual chants, behind the Curva Nord, den of the Nerazzurri fans, the ultras demonstrate their presence with a series of fireworks that attract the attention of those present, between colors and fireworks the diversion is more than pleasant.

The strong wind that blows relentlessly disturbs the play of the twenty-two on the pitch and even in the away sector it takes a lot of patience and just as much will to raise the flags of the groups, in the second half the Curva Sud away format wisely decides to remove the pieces from the glass to holding them in your hand, the decision allows you to show the various souls that make up the yellow-blue universe and offers an even better overview than the previous one. Even in the second half the guests don’t give up on cheering for a second, there is a good organization with a couple of choir throwers who support each other and a particularly effective drummer; the public present does the rest by diligently following the indications coming from the lower part.

On the pitch the match is not short of ideas but in the end it becomes even more heated with the VAR who forcefully rises as the protagonist in a swing of emotions that does not leave the spectators indifferent: especially in the away sector they rejoice a couple of times for a goal scored which will then not be validated by technology.

Match that finally ends with a Solomonic draw, at the end of the match the visiting team heads under the sector for the traditional exchange of greetings, the hosts follow the same route but the absence of organized fans is clear and tangible. It’s a shame because on evenings like this one they would have found themselves facing two historical fans with very respectable CVs and looking at the numbers of this season, probably theArena Garibaldi it would have certainly had a better view than the one offered this evening.
