KOMPAS.com – Daejeon JungKwangJang Red Sparks lost to Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders in the first match playoff Korean Volleyball League 2023-2024.
The match between Red Sparks and Pink Spiders took place at Samsan World Gymnasium, South Korea, Friday (22/3/2024) evening WIB.
Red Sparks, which was strengthened by Indonesian player, Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi, lost with a score of 1-3 (25-22, 13-25, 23-25, 23-25).
In this match, Megawati scored 20 points. She is ranked second as the Red Sparks’ top scorer after Giovanna Milana (31 points).

Red Sparks actually had a chance to equalize at 2-2 after providing tight resistance in the fourth set.
The difference in points between the two teams was never more than two points until the Red Sparks equalized the score at 20-20.
However, Megawati made two consecutive mistakes after her smash came out in favor of the Pink Spiders.
The Pink Spiders also moved away in a position of 23-20. Red Sparks were still trying to catch their opponent’s points by changing the score to 23-24.

Red Sparks will next host Pink Spiders in the second match playoff Korean Volleyball League at Chungmu Gymnasium, Tuesday (26/3/2024).
As for playoff The Korean Volleyball League uses a format best of three.
This means that if the Pink Spiders can win again in the second game, they will qualify for the final of the Korean Volleyball League and will face Suwon Hyundai Hillstate who finished in first place in the regular phase.
