Philadelphia 76ers Sign Free Agent Kai Jones to 10-Day Contract Following Release from Charlotte Hornets

The Philadelphia 76ers have agreed to terms with free agent Kai Jones on a 10-day temporary contract, sources confirmed to Adrian Wojnarowski ESPN.

Note that Charlotte Hornets released him in October 2023 after some strange publications on his social networks where he finally requested his transfer from the North Carolina franchise.

Jones, who studied at the University of Texas between 2019 and 2021, came to the NBA with the 19th pick in the 2021 draft, was selected by the Knicks but was immediately traded to then-Mitch Kupchak’s Hornets.

In his NBA career, he has played 47 official games with an average of 2.7 points and 2 rebounds and only 9.1 minutes per day.
