American Austin Eckroat left his pursuers no chance during the Cognizant Classic, claiming his first victory on the American circuit at -17. On the French side, Victor Perez finished just outside the top 10, 16th at -11 while Matthieu Pavon finished 28th at -9.
The American did not show many signs of weakness during this week with scores of 65, 67, 68 and 67. A very positive result with only six bogeys to his credit over these four rounds of competition. The Oklahoma State University alumnus finished with a total score of -17, three strokes ahead of his pursuers, Erik van Rooyen and Min Woo Lee.
