Patrick Beverley Faces Potential Season-Ending Injury: Latest Update from Bed Bev Pod

It’s happened again. Patrick Beverley has become his own source of information through his podcast. The point guard, now with the Bucks, has revealed in the last episode of Bed Bev Pod who suffers a torn ligament in his right wrist that will force him to undergo surgery. Just yesterday he couldn’t be in the loss against the Los Angeles Lakers for this same reason.

The curious thing is that the Milwaukee Bucks have not given any update or timeline regarding the injury of Beverley, who joined the team last February. However, he himself has ventured to predict that the surgical process will take him out of combat for “months.” Which, obviously, calls into question his participation in the remainder of the season. The regular league comes to an end on April 14. That is, in just over two weeks.

Although his signing seemed marginal (it came in exchange for Cameron Payne and a second round in 2027 to the Sixers), the truth is that Beverley has managed to somewhat alleviate the notable weakness of the Bucks’ outside defense. The point guard does not support a system by himself, but he does represent an improvement over Damian Lillard and Malik Beasley. And, above all, he provides Doc Rivers’ team with a spearhead defender that they lost with the departure of Jrue Holiday and Jevon Carter. Having him does not change the prospects of the Wisconsin team, but his loss does mean losing variants in that perimeter line.
