Paris sweeps away the London Lions: TJ Shorts dominates the scene with a total game

Paris Basketball makes its voice heard against the London Lions with the final result of 99-86 which leaves no doubt about the progress of the match in game 1 of the EuroCup semi-final played at the Adidas Arena in Paris. The great protagonist of the match is TJ Shorts, author of an impressive game due to his basketball omnipotence with 23 points on the scoresheet in 27 minutes, shooting 9/11 from two, 1/3 from three to which he adds 7 assists, 6 rebounds and 3 steals with 33 of evaluation, the offensive production of the French bench was excellent with 22 points from Hifi and 10 from Simon. The English team pays dearly for an evening of 4/19 from long range and the difficulties of Matt Morgan, their best player, in finding a way to shoot in a match where he scores just 2 points with an incredible 0/1 from the field in his 24 minutes spent on the pitch.

FIRST QUARTER

Fierce rhythms between two teams who love running the pitch. London starts with a 0-7 led by Grantham and Olaseni, Paris breaks the deadlock with Herrera’s triple. In the middle of the second half the maximum advantage for the Parisians arrives, 44-33, but London is a real team and comes back at 46-40, in the 27th minute with Nwaba definitely the best of the English and then at 52-49 in the 19th minute again thanks to Conor Morgan. THIRD FOURTH

Paris’s very strong start forces London to time out, but it is of little use as TJ Shorts continues his personal show, 66-49 in the 23rd minute. A 12-0 run that steers the game towards the Parisians, while the Lions rely on the talent of Dekker but with the sound of triples the French escape 71-53 in the 24th minute. At the end of the third period, Paris was in clear control at 79-57 with another four consecutive points from Shorts.

FOURTH ROOM

London tries again and collects a 9-0 partial. 79-66 at 32′, but Ward, Simon and Shorts score in sequence and the Parisians break away again at 88-68 at 34′. At the end of the match the referee Paternicò expels the London coach, the Serbian, Petar Bozic and the contest of match 1 ends with the score of 99-86.
