Paris Basketball Prepares to Face Joventut Badalona in Eurocup Playoffs

Exempted from the round of 16 thanks to its first place in the regular season, Paris Basketball now knows its next opponent in the Eurocup playoffs. This is Joventut Badalone. The Spanish team, 5th in group A in the regular season, created a small surprise by beating Ulm, 4th in group B, in Germany, therefore without home advantage (79-88).

This success, however, does not suffer from any dispute as the teammates of the Dominican Andres Feliz (28 points on 12/17 shots, 6 rebounds, 6 assists for 36 evaluation in 31 minutes!) dominated the game by leading by 18 points at the break (32-50), still keeping a cushion ahead despite the attempted comeback of teammates Juan Nunez (17 points, 5 assists) and Trevion Williams (20 points, 10 rebounds). Ulm is eliminated, Badalone will present itself in the capital with confidence.

A formidable opponent

Although the Parisians flew through the regular season (17 wins, 1 loss), their two short successes against Badalone (94-101 after extra time in Spain and 89-82 at Carpentier) demonstrate that there will be no margin in this quarter-final in a dry match at the Adidas Arena, in just a week. Remember that the semi-final and the final will be played in the best of three sets.

The other three round of 16 matches will take place this Wednesday and will pit the London Lions against Turk Telekom, Gran Canaria against Besiktas and Prometey against Aris Thessaloniki. The winner of this last match will face Bourg-en-Bresse in the quarter-finals, on March 12 or 13 at Ékinox.

ITW T.J. Shorts, alias terminator, MVP de la Leaders Cup : “Le Paris Basketball a grandi ce week-end”

Exceptional during the weekend, particularly in the moneytime of the final against Nanterre (90-85), TJ Shorts, or “terminator” as Tuomas Iisalo nicknames him, was elected MVP of the Leaders Cup 2024. Another distinction in his collection , for the first triumph of Paris Basketball.
