Victim of a fractured collarbone and sternum, and suffering from several broken ribs, the 29-year-old Belgian underwent successful surgery this Thursday. “The next few weeks will be solely dedicated to his recovery,” said the press release. And the decision on his participation in the Giro will be taken “in the coming weeks depending on his convalescence”.
