(Oakland) The Oakland Athletics acquired left-handed pitcher TJ McFarland from the Los Angeles Dodgers on Tuesday.

The Athletics sent some money to the Dodgers and added McFarland to their 40-man roster.
McFarland, 34, signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers on Jan. 26 and posted a 1.35 ERA in seven appearances during spring camp.
McFarland made three relief appearances with the New York Mets last year, going 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA. He boasted a 5-2 record and a 2.30 ERA in 44 relief appearances at the AAA level.
McFarland has a 24-16 record and a 4.14 ERA in 11 seasons in the majors, with the Baltimore Orioles, Arizona Diamondbacks, Oakland Athletics, St. Louis Cardinals and the Mets.
