For Dennis Novak it’s time to say goodbye to the Zadar Challenger in round one.
Number 218 in the ATP world rankings lost to Kazakh Timofey Skatov (ATP number 273) in an intense match 6:7(5), 7:6(5), 1:6.
The two opponents opened their game on Monday evening. When the score was 1:1 in sets, the game had to be interrupted due to darkness, and Novak didn’t start the day well at all on Tuesday afternoon.
The 30-year-old from Wien Neustädter clearly lost the third and decisive set 1:6. After a playing time of 2:49 hours, Skatov uses his second match point.
