The crazy success of the Lakers, the long-awaited victory of the Warriors, Oklahoma towards the top… Everything you need to know about the results of the night from Tuesday to Wednesday in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Lakers won a crazy game after two overtimes against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Warriors regained victory on Tuesday in the NBA.

Although trailing by 19 points twice, the Los Angeles Lakers ended up overthrowing the Milwaukee Bucks (128-124) after two overtimes. Deprived of LeBron James, resting to spare an ankle, the Lakers were able to count on an immense Anthony Davis, author of 34 points and 23 rebounds with a rare playing time of almost 52 minutes.

Davis was also omnipresent in defense, with a decisive counter on Damian Lillard at the end of the first overtime. While the two teams were tied in the second overtime, a huge defense from the All-Star center on Giannis Antetokounmpo allowed his teammate Austin Reaves (in a triple-double with 29 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists) to give three points ahead of the Angelenos in the process, before Davis folded the game on the free throw line.

“I was tired but when you get to that moment it becomes mental”commented Reaves. “He stayed almost the entire game, encouraging us even when he was outside. Every time he’s on the floor, with points, rebounds, his defense, he has an impact.”he greeted about Davis.

The Lakers did not lead once in regulation time of this crazy match which allowed them to maintain their 9th place in the Western Conference (40 wins – 32 losses) and keep Phoenix under pressure (8th, 42-30) . Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed two crucial shots at the end of the 2nd overtime, accumulated 29 points, 21 rebounds and 11 assists, for a triple-double.

Oklahoma aims for the top

The Oklahoma City Thunder overpowered the New Orleans Pelicans in their home arena (119-112) and maintained the hope of finishing in first place in the Western Conference. With 51 wins and 21 losses, OKC is currently 2nd and has only one victory less than leader Denver (51-21), just under three weeks from the end of the regular season. Their defeat drops the Pelicans to 5th place, with one more defeat than the Los Angeles Clippers, 4th.

After two defeats, the Golden State Warriors of Stephen Curry (17 points) and Klay Thompson (28 points) beat the Miami Heat (113-92). In the precarious position of 10th in the West, last qualifying place in the play-offs, the Warriors (37 wins – 34 losses) keep one match ahead of the Houston Rockets (36-35), whom they will meet again on April 4.
