In Miami, Gaël Monfils faces the number 1 seed of the Florida Masters 1000, the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, this Monday March 25 in the early evening. The two men challenge each other for the 3rd round of the tennis tournament.
Back in the ATP Top 50 for the first time since the fall of 2022, the Ile-de-France native, currently 47th in the world and very fit to start the year, can prepare for an enticing third round against the tournament favorite.
It is also a clash of generations. The Spaniard was born 20 years ago when Monfils arrived on the professional circuit. This is only the second time the two men have faced each other. The first time was at Indian Wells in 2021, and Alcaraz, still almost a beginner, won 7-5, 6-1.
