The Italian Liza Vitozzi won, improving her hopes of fighting for the first place in the season standings. French biathlete Lou Jeanmont was 5.5 seconds behind, while Switzerland’s Lena Hecki-Gross completed the top three 8.6 seconds behind the winner. Two more Latvian biathletes, Sanita Buliņa and Annija Keita Sabule, took 83rd and 91st place, respectively, in the competition of 94 participants. Neither Buliņa nor Sabule qualified for the chase, where the fastest 60 will start according to the sprint results.

Bendika finished two minutes and 11.5 seconds behind the winner. Ranking behind the TOP40, Baiba did not add a point in the stock ranking.

90 points are awarded for the victory in each competition, while other female athletes who finished in the TOP40 are awarded proportionally less.

After the birth of her baby, Bendika, who started for less than a season, ranks immediately behind the sixth tenth in the overall standings, while Buliņa takes the 77th place.

In the continuation of the stage, men will compete in a sprint on Friday in Kenmore, on Saturday both men and women will start in the pursuit, and on Sunday – in distances with a joint start.
