Miryang-type iKiwoom Learning Center is thriving all year round.
According to Miryang City on the 14th, the iKiwoom Learning Center, which started as a pilot project in 2022, has expanded its operation to include vacation periods since last year and has established itself as Miryang City’s representative child education and care service. This year, with a total budget of approximately 600 million won, we are taking a step closer to citizens with customized programs such as opening specialized weekend programs and expanding service targets.
The winter vacation program, which started last January, operated 60 programs at 16 local public institutions and other locations, with a total of 1,013 participants, easing the burden of care for parents during the long vacation and serving as a space for children to play and experience various things. The first half of the iKiwoom Learning Center program, which began in earnest in early March, operates a total of 67 programs in public facilities, town and township learning centers, etc., in addition to the youth training center, which is the base facility.
The △Jumping Music Rope △Learning Korean History through Characters △World History at a Glance △Launching My Goods Brand △Science Experiment Playground △Creativity Enhancing Cube Classroom programs held at the youth training center have been well-received and are overflowing with waiting lists.
The ‘Let’s Play with the Village’ class held at the Miryang City Social Welfare Center is full of unique educational and experiential programs such as food making, which children in towns and villages cannot experience in their local areas, and exploring the forest, river, school, and Miryang. There are only 10 people on the waiting list for each class. It’s becoming so popular that it’s overflowing.
In particular, this year, as a special weekend program, Miryang Arirang Art Center and Youth Training Center will run ‘Dreaming Children’s Cheerleading MY Dreaming’ and ‘Jumping Musical Rope Jumping’ for upper grades of elementary school.
‘MY Dreaming’, which means ‘My dream becomes Miryang’s dream,’ is a program that nurtures Miryang’s talents through cheerleading.
This coming May, △Children Escape from Bangkok! Badminton School △Artificial Intelligence AI Robot Coding (Block Coding) △Astronomy Observatory Science Laboratory A and B programs open. The badminton school operated by Miryang Sports Center has more than 5 people on the waiting list.
