Good afternoon friends of OA Sport e welcome to the LIVE LIVE of Italy-Latvia, a match valid for the sixth day of group A of qualifying for the Under21 European Football Championships. Carmine Nunziata’s Azzurrini cannot make mistakes, and they absolutely need the victory to maintain the top of the group and lead the boat to the next continental event.
The qualifiers for the next Under21 European Championships continue for Italy, and everything starts to come to life more than ever. The Italians lead the standings in their group with 11 points, result of 3 wins and 2 draws obtained in the previous 5 matches. Latvia, on the other hand, rises to 7 by virtue of 2 successes, one draw and two defeats. A group that is proving to be very balanced and much more difficult than expected, with Ireland at 10 and Norway at 9 points which undermine the primacy of our national team, who must continue to run and cannot be satisfied with any result other than full spoils. In the first leg at the home of the Latvians the Under 21s only achieved a 0-0 draw, after a performance in which our team were brilliantly defeated by the home team.
Some training problems for coach Carmine Nunziata, who in recent days has seen the two Roma players Bove and Baldanzi leave retirement. Midfield, however, which promises to be of the highest quality, with Cesare Casadei, Tommaso Fabbian and Cher Ndour who should make up a mouth-watering trio.
