Minnesota won 3-1 at home on Thursday (local time), Rossi remained scoreless this time after his brace in the 4-5 defeat against the St. Louis Blues. The 22-year-old was on the ice for 18:10 minutes and fired three shots.

The Wild goals were provided by Joel Eriksson Ek (17th) with his 30th goal of the season, Matt Boldy (41st) and Ryan Hartman (60th/empty net). Mikael Granlund (30th) had equalized for the Sharks, who suffered their ninth defeat in a row.

Two teams have to be overtaken

Minnesota is still in tenth place in the Western Conference and would have to overtake two teams in the remaining ten games in order to get into the play-offs. Rossi and Co. are eight points behind the Los Angeles Kings, while St. Louis has a three-point lead over Minnesota in a game played.
