Milwaukee Bucks Cruise Past Phoenix Suns 140-129, Led by Bobby Portis’ Record-Breaking Performance

MILWAUKEE BUCKS-PHOENIX SUNS 140-129

The Bucks face the challenge against the Suns sans Giannis Antetokounmpo but the absence of Greek exalts a Bobby Portis who, despite always starting from the bench, creates a legendary first half, with a perfect 5/5 from beyond the arc and 25 points. Portis’ performance inspires the whole team, who put together an almost perfect first half of the match, with an excellent Middleton (on his return), a super page circulation (23 assists on 31 baskets scored) and very hot three-point hands (18 three-pointers made, tied NBA record for one game time, out of 27 attempted). They do 82 points scored already at halftime for the Bucks, for an almost annihilating +22 for the Suns, with no answers in the first 24 minutes. Phoenix tries to get back in in the third quarter, and driven by the baskets of Grayson Allen, Bradley Beal and Eric Gordon it reaches -6. An attempt at a comeback, however, was thwarted by a third quarter from Damian Lillardwith 14 points and also the basket at the siren that sends his Bucks to the final break once again on +15. But the Suns don’t give upBeal’s baskets (and not those of Durant, mysteriously “absent”, only 11 points for him) bring the guests back below but the decisive shoulder is still that of Lillardwho signs a match from 31 points and 16 assistslike a true MVP. Also at 31 for the Bucks is Bobby Portisin double double with 10 rebounds and an excellent 13/20 shooting and 5 of 24 triples of the evening by his team, who finished with 58.5% from beyond the arc. For Phoenix the best is Beal at 28 pointsfollowed by 25 di Allen and come on 23 at Booker.
